Falkor is looking for a participant from the Netherlands for the 
Training Course ''Volunteering against Intolerance and Racial 
Discrimination'', 6th to 12th of December 2007, Georgia

Project Coordinating Organisations: ACIEE - Academic Centre of European 
Education and Information (PL), Academy for Peace and Development (GEO)

Short Project Description:

The project “Volunteering against Intolerance and Racial Discrimination” 
will be a six day lasting training course (TC) with 16 partner 
organisations from EECA (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan) and programme 
countries.The TC will take place in Georgia.
The aim of the project is to promote European Voluntary Service in 
Caucasus. Therefore, the training will focus on improving sending and 
hosting organisations in how to use the EVS programme and for which 
challenges they have to be prepared cooperating in a common volunteer 
project.
Elements of the training are the following: Youth in Action Programme, 
EVS, cultural diversity, preparation and hosting of EVS volunteer, 
cultural and social particularities of EECA countries, good partnership, 
conflict management on personal level.
Objectives:

     * Create new partnerships for EVS and to work on a common 
multilateral EVS project
       share knowledge about the implementation of a EVS project
       Prepare sending and hosting organisations for the challenges they 
face while cooperating with EECA
     * To promote the implementation of youth projects in Eastern Europe 
and Caucasus region
     * To create atmosphere of common understanding between people 
representing different cultures, working styles, etc
     * Develop skills and attitudes for representatives of sending and 
hosting organizations on the particularities that volunteers may face in 
both EECA and Western Europe
     * To promote interethnic and intercultural understanding and fight 
against racism and xenophobia

Methods:

     * workshops
     * role plays
     * discussions
     * presentations
     * excursions

Conditions:
As this training course will be implemented in the frame of the EU 
Youth-Program, the accommodation and food supply for all participants 
will be covered totally. In addition, 70 % of the travel expenses will 
be reimbursed to the participants.
