Join the "PAF: Past As Future" International youth exchange in Germany!

FFF and the Schülerakademie Elbe-Elster e.V. are organizing the 'Past as
Future' youth project: a meeting platform for intercultural knowledge
exchange on historical, present and future development of rural regions
and the enhancement of a sustainable society, economy and ecology
through youth by action.

The project is taking place between September 8th - 15th, 2007 at the
Technical Monument LOUISE, Domsdorf, Germany.

Participants from Germany, Netherlands, Estonia and Romania are welcome
to join.

Some of the planned workshops (the program is still being developed):
-visit to a local company, producer of sparkling water which is served
at the Bundestag;
-regional business development connected to landscape and society
changes (the region is a former brown coal mining landscape and
agricultural area);
-green tourism;
-demographic changes, for example city dwellers moving to countryside
and creating consequently very new rural structures

The project's location is in the south of Brandenburg/100km away from
Berlin, in Elbe-Elster county, Domsdorf, at the Technical Monument
Louise, which is celebrating its 125th birthday during this summer
(Louise is a former brown coal briquette factory).
The location will also serve as domicile for eating and sleeping
(sleeping bag and mat is necessary!), kitchen, toilets, seminar rooms
etc. are provided on spot.

Costs during the project are paid through the EU programme Youth in
Action. Travel reimbursement for participants account 70%.

People from the Netherlands under 26 years who are interested to join,
can apply at info@falkor.org.
