Street Photography Competition in Georgia
Photography is a means of recording forever the things one sees for a
moment.
British Council is pleased to announce Street Photography competition.
We will collect the best and the most expressive images reflecting
street life in Georgia.
Traditionally Street Photography is a type of documentary photography
notable for its fresh and candid depictions of public life.like holding
up a mirror to society or recording things seen for a moment.
Participants in the competition are expected to explore the dynamics of
street life in their towns, formed by social interaction, a single human
moment, consumption, waste, the contradictions. Participants are also
very much encouraged to express their personal vision of street life in
Georgia.
The entries will be judged by a panel of independent professional
photographers. The best works will be displayed with Onto The Street ,
an exhibition of street photography from Britain in March 2007. In
addition, the authors of selected works will be invited to attend slide
lectures focusing on contemporary street photography run by curators of
the exhibition.
